Forgiveness

Wherefore I say unto you, that ye ought to forgive one another; for he that forgiveth not his brother his trespasses standeth condemned before the Lord; for there remaineth in him the greater sin.

I, the Lord, will forgive whom I will forgive, but of you it is requred to forgive all men.

I love that story, there is so much depth to that reunion. So much symbolism.

Forgiveness is what I need as well. I feel this is a very true part of being Christlike that is very challenging but essential. Thanks.

During my life I have had MAJOR instances where I needed to forgive and MAJOR instances where I have begged for forgiveness.

So very hard but I agree with Jan, so essential to our salvation.

Forgiveness of others is hard enough, but well worth it when you achieve that state of forgiveness. Forgiveness for our own selves is harder than forgiving others.

I have found...especially in these crazy times that forgiveness is the key to living a Christlike life. Think about it. The final act of our Savior was to ask forgiveness for those who had put him to death. What an incredibly moving example.
Thanks for reminding us!!!!

Have you read The Peacegiver? It is a fabulous book on forgiveness that was life changing for me to read... and I do not say that lightly.
