Absotively, posulutely, unequivocably this is a coyote. I see them on a daily basis where I live, which reminds me of a great story with coyotes AND missionaries. Watch for the post soon!

it's too small to be a Wolf.
I think Coyotes usually have more Scraggly looking tails--unless that is a picture of a healthy one.
Who knows....it might be something different like a mixture of a wolf, fox, and coyote....you know animals can Mix Things Up Sometimes! ♥
