Progress

Here's an update of my progress so far.

  • I have signed up for the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon and reserved the hotel room
  • I have been logging my weight and activities into fitnessjournal.org
  • I have seriously increased my fruit and vegetable intake
  • I have cut down on portion sizes and have been drinking more water.

Drumroll please...

I have lost 7 pounds since December! It's very exciting for me. Please hold your applause. Really. No, really - it's not that big of a deal. STOP CLAPPING.

Ahem.

I'm struggling with energy still and am having a very hard time with exercise. I think some of that might be because of my thyroid shenanigans - but I suppose it could also be sheer laziness.

What are you doing to be healthy and get into or stay in shape? What activities are you planning for this year or even this next week? What are your weaknesses or shortcomings when it comes to diet and exercise?

I know this will be a great year and we can all achieve our personal goals. I only have awesome friends and family and we can sooo do this!

Just signed up at Lifetime Fitness. I already have a membership to 24 hour fitness but the salesman at Lifetime was pretty slick. Now that I have two gym memberships I should be losing twice the weight.

My plan is to drop some weight before I start a running program. I am planning on strength training 3x a week and doing cardio 3x a week (probably too ambitious I realize).

Currently I am down 8 pounds since January 1st. I should be happy about this but I was hoping to lose 30 pounds in the first week. If I don't lose 30 pounds next week i'm going to move back in to the attic above the Dominos on 7th east and 114th south. I already get my mail forwarded there.

WHY do you get to lose 8 pounds and I only lost 7??!!! MARSHA MARSHA MARSHA!!!!

Creature and I have a bet going that you can lose 30 pounds next week. He says you can't do it. He really wants the pizza leftovers.

Good plan! I'll try to put my fitness plan in stone too.

BTW - My goal is to lose 31 pounds next week!! Beat that. =)
